Ultimate Beach Packing List
Headed to the beach? Don't forget the essentials. These awesome add-ons will make your vacation pretty darn sweet, if I do say so myself. Scroll down for a BONUS post-vacation recovery kit.
Perhaps the MOST important thing to pack is sun protection. I'm bringing Sun Bum with me - it's broad spectrum UVA/UVB Protection, Hypoallergenic, Paraben Free, Gluten Free and apparently vegan... I grabbed the SPF 30 continuous spray and the face stick.
With lake season upon us, I can't recommend this float enough. It's ridiculously comfortable and perfect for lounging boatside with a beverage.
THE PERFECT FLOAT
I hope Instagram is ready for your casually-lounging-on-the-beach pics. This pattern can be found on Amazon. And if you think this one's cute - check out the one that looks like a pepperoni pizza.
These clips are a must-have for the beach! No more adjusting that towel every. time. you. move. Get a pack of 12 for $8.99 on Amazon.
I picked up two of these adjustable chairs. The backpack straps, built in tote, cup holder and adjustable pillow make this the ultimate lightweight lounge chair. Beach perfection. Find it at Target.
BACKPACK+ BEACH CHAIR COMBO
Please don't forget to hydrate! Grab an insulated cup with a straw. so you can grab and sip without getting sand all over the top of your cup.
BIG WHEELS, KEEP ON TURNING
This baby will set you back a cool 300 bucks, but those wheels? Priceless. The tiny wheels on most coolers will get instantly jammed in the sand, leaving you to haul 50 pounds of ice and beer across the beach. If you're a semi-regular beach bum - and can fork up that much cash - go ahead and splurge, er invest, on the big wheels. Then laugh at the fools trying to act like their coolers aren't heavy.
AT LEAST ONE BRAND NEW BATHING SUIT
Grab a new suit that makes you feel HOT! Feeling good at the beach means you don't have to waste your precious mindspace on insecurities or worrying about what others think. So go ahead - splurge on something fab!
My suit's made by Becca
We all have to come home, don't we? Don't let the post-vacation blues get you down. Leave a post-vaca recovery kit for yourself with a few of your favorite splurges and pastimes to make that transition back to real life way more fun.
Here are a few of my fave post-vaca treats:
- A trashy and/or interesting magazine
- Nail polish (or an appointment at a salon, if you have time for that sort of thing...)
- A fresh tube of lip balm
- A new top, or an entire outfit, if you think you'll be really depressed
- A fruity new face serum to remind you of beachier times, like this one -->
- Wine. Don't forget that.
